Nigen

After Director Checks, the final Genga is created, this stage is called nigen (二(に)原(げん)) which is short hand for Dainigenga (第(だい)二(に)原(げん)画(が)) or 2nd Key. This stage incorporates all the Director Checks to create final look of anime character. Nigen is drawn without the layout paper frame.

Nigen cut assignment folders will contain the following:

• E-konte: The Storyboards for the section or episode you are working on.
• Settei: The design sheets for the production or section.
• Original Layout Drawings
• Scans or Digital Enshutsu Corrections
• Scans or Digital Sakkan Corrections
• Scans or Digital Sou Sakkan Corrections
• Filled X-Sheet
• Adjusted X-Sheet
