| What is Sakuga? |

"Sakuga" according to this wiki, is the creation of Anime. We define anime as in hand drawn frame by frame 2D cel animation which follows the anime production pipeline: traditional, digital, or hybrid, with a mixture of supplemental techniques such as 3DCG and 2DFX. It's the medium that has inspired countless fans around the globe to celebrate it, forming communities, making costumes, creating fan art, and much more. It has inspired artists all around the world, such as those developing this wiki to pursue Sakuga as a career. This wiki aims to help anyone on the quest towards a career in the world of anime. |
| Why do we use Japanese terms? |

In this wiki, we refrain from using Western animation terminology, except in the case of comparison. The roles in anime production are very nuanced, and cannot be translated to their closest English counterparts without causing miscommunication. Everywhere a Japanese term is mentioned we will include the kanji, to help aid people in learning them. |
